Services

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling sessions to adult clients, providing a confidential and safe space to openly explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. My main aim is to help you achieve any psychological or behavioural goals you might have but some examples of the wide range of issues I can work with include, but not limited to:

  • Low mood and depression can involve persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest or pleasure, often accompanied by emotional and physical symptoms that can significantly impact one's quality of life.

  • Anxiety can present as the overwhelming feelings of worry, fear, or apprehension that can interfere with daily functioning and quality of life. It often manifests as both emotional distress and physical symptoms, affecting how individuals respond to perceived threats or challenges.

  • OCD involves repetitive, intrusive thoughts or urges that lead to behaviours or rituals aimed at reducing anxiety or preventing feared outcomes. This cycle can become distressing and disruptive, impacting daily life and functioning.

  • Trauma refers to the emotional and psychological impact of experiencing or witnessing distressing events, which can lead to lasting feelings of fear, helplessness, or disconnection.

  • Work-related stress arises from pressures and demands in the workplace that exceed an individual's capacity to cope, often leading to feelings of overwhelm, reduced productivity, and negative impacts on mental and physical health.

  • Family issues encompass a range of conflicts, dysfunctions, or challenges within family dynamics that can affect relationships and communication, impacting the emotional well-being of family members. This could relate to attachment issues or childhood and generational trauma.

  • Grief can present as disconnect, existential anxiety, deep sorrow or emotional pain that arises from the loss of someone or something significant, often accompanied by a complex array of feelings and adjustments to life without that person or thing.

  • Unhealthy eating behaviors and attitudes towards food and body image, often leading to significant physical and emotional challenges.

  • Relationship issues refer to conflicts or challenges that arise between partners, family members, or friends, often stemming from miscommunication, differing expectations, or unresolved conflicts, which can impact the quality and stability of the connection.

  • Phobias and fears involve intense and irrational anxieties about specific objects, situations, or activities, leading to avoidance behaviors and significant distress that can interfere with daily life.

  • Anger issues involve difficulties in managing feelings of frustration or rage, which can lead to outbursts, conflicts or emotional suppression that negatively affect relationships and overall well-being.

  • Self-esteem issues involve a lack of confidence or negative self-perception, which can hinder personal growth and fulfillment, highlighting the importance of personal development to enhance self-worth and emotional resilience.
